Pupil Premium
The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers, by ensuring that funding to tackle the disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most. Pupil Premium is allocated to schools based on the number of children who are either receiving Free School Meals currently, or have done so in the last 6 years. We use the Pupil Premium to fund the following:
- Breakfast and after school clubs
- Reading assistants
- 1:1 Interventions
- Phonics interventions
- Targeted SENCO support
- Targeted booster sessions
- Educational visits, residential trips & curriculum enrichment activities
- School uniform
- Milk provision
- Lunchtime and after school activity clubs
- Play therapy support
